The premise is very intriguing to me, because whenever I read about someone committing suicide in the news, I always wonder why they would do such a horrible act. What happened for them to even consider this, let alone do it? But of course, we can't ask them. Although I, also, felt some areas were lacking, it was definitely a thought-provoking read and it got its message across.
I loved your review and definitely agree with it! Even perhaps more at the end about the impact on the others. But you're right, it's an important read with an important message. I'd never thought about the flow on effects of someones actions before :)Samanthahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12231494996711068641noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6924501319424473642.post-32848803589596262532013-04-02T11:42:16.759-07:002013-04-02T11:42:16.759-07:00Aw really?! I feel like it was lacking quite a bit and Hannah's character was a bit one dimensional, but I found the subject very intriguing and that's what I liked about it. If you do read it, let me know your thoughts!Samanthahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12231494996711068641noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6924501319424473642.post-85729265851324725652013-04-02T07:36:01.655-07:002013-04-02T07:36:01.655-07:00I read this one awhile back, and though I felt lik...I read this one awhile back, and though I felt like I wanted a little bit more from it, overall it was a good and important read. The message--that our actions big and small can have a lasting effect on someone--is something we can all take to heart.

Great review, Samantha! :)Jaime Morrowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03023932422477544525noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6924501319424473642.post-16172396822958199652013-04-02T05:49:27.567-07:002013-04-02T05:49:27.567-07:00Contemporary YA is not my genre of choice, but the...Contemporary YA is not my genre of choice, but the premise of this novel intrigued me. Then I read THE FUTURE OF US, and was disappointed. Ever since, I've been a little reluctant to pick up THIRTEEN REASONS WHY in case Jay Asher disappoints me again. Your review encourages me to give it a chance.

Thanks, Samantha! :)Colin Smithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03292997431935215499noreply@blogger.com
